Tathra Beach
A wonderful spot re-visited Geo: -36.4227, 150.064
Left Pambula Beach at 9.40am, the morning temperature was 14c, not sure we're will stop the night yet. Way to go!!
First stop Tathra, small coastal town with some stunning parks, and beaches. The drive was slow going with hair pin after hair pin, glad Mick was driving, he does not intend to do it again.
Stopped at the information centre, who told us to stay at Bermagui Zane Grey Tourist Park. 180o view of the bay and ocean. Magnificent. The Humpback Whales use the Bay for birthing their calves, one spotted yesterday.
Have set up at the park, three nights, in town, with a view to die for. Managed a 10 per cent discount if we stayed for three nights. Mick still has not used his Seniors card.
The amenities are being renovated, no signs to tell which was what, except the ladies sign was outside the Men's on the ground.
Mick was relieving himself and ladies came in, he told them theirs are at the back. Off they went and as Mick was leaving, they informed him he should have gone round the back. They had a laugh, but what worries me is, who are you going to
Bermagui Information Centre
Some great carvings at the information centre meet coming out or going into the amenities!!!.
We had lunch and went for a drive around Bermagui, stopped at the Blue Pool, pretty amazing, must see, located off Scenic Drive, at the base of a dramatic rocky cliff face. A natural rock pool, it is washed with clean clear ocean water and is a wonderful swimming and snorkelling spot.
We then visited the fishing Co-op, a picture taken of wharf, no pier. I also found small presents for two friends who have there birthday on Wednesday. Who can that be? . We then called into the Bermagui country club for a few drinks.
It is 2.41pm and we are heading back to the van for a nap, holidaying can be so exhausting!!
