Yep, there it is..
On the way to Newcastle we figured we could just pop in and check out Canberra - it is the capital city after all!! It was a pretty nice place but had a really bizarre feel to it because it was totally deserted.

We checked out Parliament House which was pretty interesting. It has a grass roof (called a "green roof") and you can go up there and check out the amazing views. We also talk a walk into town which was nice until it got a bit black and then started thundering. We were going to make a dash back to the van parked 7kms away but decided to sit the worst out in a little shelter - thank goodness we did as a few minutes later hail was coming down the size of frozen peas!!!! We waited for the worst to pass and then John did the gentlemanly thing and ran for the van and brought it back to pick me up. Isn't he a sweetie?!?!? Rubbish, I (j) just fancied a run while it was cool really.
