After we dropped Finley off at the airport we headed east. There as a strong smell of smoke in Calgary from the BC fires. While waiting at the airport for Finley's flight Joy chatted to a few people who were evacuated from their homes and were headed to Nova Scotia to stay with friends and family.
On our journey east we spend the first night at Moose Jaw Sask. We were surprised that the BC smoke had reached there as well. The following night we stayed in Winnipeg and then 2 nights at Thunder Bay Ont. We visited the Terry Fox memorial near Thunder Bay where he was forced to stop his cross country run (due to cancer). Tonight we are staying at Twin Lakes campground in Moonbeam Ontario. It is one of the nicest private campgrounds we have visited. Tomorrow we will spend two nights in Mattawa Ontario and then sped some time with Gary's sister near Eganville Ontario.
