Hamilton City was origianlly set up as a gold mining town in 1868. There are many buildings located here on the hilltop alongside Boot Hill. It is amazing how small the people were back then. None of these doorways are over 5 ft. high. There are about 7 buildings remaining in this town and no restoration attempts have been made to bring this little town back to its original condition.

Flowers are still placed on Anna's grave. None of the other headstones were legible and the graves are all overgrown. It doesn't appear that much interest is left around this area as the buildings are very run down and no attempt has been made to restore them.

This is a very eery place. We were not comfortable here at all. There are mine shafts here that have been covered, but the wood is rotting and the buildings are falling down.
