Arrived in Davenport, Iowa at the Interstate RV Park. Visited Rock Island Arsenal and the locks at the River. This was most interesting. Had a wonderful lunch on the Mississippi river at the Boathouse Restaurant. Toured the "Quad Cities" as they are called for several days. Visited the boyhood home of Buffalo Bill Cody and had dinner in downtown Davenport Village which has been totally remodeled to resemble the old Davenport of the early 1900s. The German section was delightful and the Bier Stube has great german food at reasonable prices.
