Wednesday October 26th, 2011 Starting mileage 19083. Overcast and cold at 53 degrees. Up early to be a RV dealers by 8:00 am.

Headed up Interstate 81 just over the border in PA to get Rosie II's generator serviced. We stayed at dealers all morning and into the afternoon. Left about 2:30 and headed for my daughter Christina and her husband Paul's home in Columbus, MD. Pulled into their complex and waited for Paul to get home and let us in. Said hi to their cats, had dinner, talked awhile, and settled into their guest bedroom.

Thursday, October 27th to Monday, October 31st.

+ ­Picked up Christopher at Dulles International Airport at 11:30 after driving in crazy and heavy DC traffic.

+ Christina took off work on Friday and Monday so spent time shopping, visiting other relatives in the area, eating out at several local restaurants, and playing tourist in Washington, DC.

­+ Watched rain turn to snow that stuck on all the fall leaves.

­+ We all put together a huge Muppets puzzle.

­+ Enjoyed costumed trick-or-treaters that came to the door on Halloween.

November 1-2, 2011 starting mileage is 19283. Cold 42

degrees at 7:30 in the morning. Happy Birthday, Sharon!

Said goodbyes and headed out to nearest gas station. Gas is high here in Columbia at $3.589, so didn't fill her up. Took 14.59 gals for a total of $52.36. Headed back up Highway 32 to Interstate 70 and then back to Hagerstown to then go south on Interstate 81 south toward Atlanta. Got gas in Staunton, VA at 19493. Gas was $3.269 a gal and we filled it with 19.883 gals for $65. Got gas again at Bristol, VA on the TN border where gas was $3.219 per gal and we took 19.836 gals for a total of $63.85. Continued to drive through the mountains to where we took off on highway 23/181 through Johnson City to Weaverville, NC where we found a Wal-mart to stay overnight. You can sleep 3 in Rosie II but only if number one son can sleep anywhere and can shape his body into a pretzel. Ate dinner across the road at an I-Hop.

The morning was clear and cold at 37 degrees. Left at 9:20 and mileage was 19813. Skirted around Ashville, NC and drove on Interstate 26 until we hit I-85 and headed for home. Stopped for gas in Greenville, SC. at $2.92 per gal of 85% ethanol and topped off the tank at 10.759 gals for a total of $31.51. Ending mileage in Clarkston was 20028..
