We left Ogallala, Nebraska this morning around 6:30 am and drove the scenic route around Lake McConaughy. We heard on the radio that they measured winds yesterday at 71 mph where we were...that was breezy.

Once we got to the west side of Nebraska, we finally reached some interesting landscape. We went by Chimney Rocks and Scott's Bluff today. And, then we made it into Wyoming. We drove through Cheyenne and was not too impressed, so we went on to Laramie. We went to the "History of Prisons in Wyoming" museum in Laramie, which was surprisingly interesting, but the town was not impressive. So, we kept driving.

We ended up at a Bed and Breakfast in Elk Mountain, WY....about 350 miles for the day. (We could not find any campgrounds for another 50 miles.) We had a nicer dinner, met and drank with a British couple "on holiday", and retired to our rooms for the evening.
