June 13th
Today was such a sad day for us. We were eating breakfast when my cell phones calendar reminded us that one year ago today at 10:40 am we lost our beloved Kelly. She was just 11 & 1/2 years old. She was my little soulmate, a beautiful Boston Terrier that had an amazing pedigree. Her dad was Cosmo, the dog that took best of breed at Westminster dog show. She was hot stuff and she knew it. Kelly would challenge any dog, no matter the size for she was top dog always. She was sweet and kind and my constant shadow. She had traveled all over with us including to the arctic ocean, 200 miles above the arctic circle on our Alaska trip. She loved the beach, the sun, and basically going wherever we went. Sad she got sick in March of 2018, hemangioma-sarcoma of her kidney. We took her to the best doctors, she had her own cardiologist, internist, and surgeon but sad to say her other kidney and her heart gave out and on June 13th at 10:40 am, I had to say goodbye. It broke my heart and David’s and I find it so hard to
even think about her being gone. I know we tried everything and spent 20 thousand dollars but it just wasn’t enough. It’s so hard to think about her and as the tears steam down my cheeks even now, a year later I miss her so much. Today is just a very sad day.
One good thing to brighten our day, our son and family showed up to visit for the weekend. They’ve got their new camper, a Rockwood Roo. Really so cute. I miss my boys so much and to have Ty here today is just what David and I needed. As it was late when they got here we didn’t do much but visit and give Ty, Silvia and Katelyn big hugs.
