Climber/Author Mark Twight asserts in his book “Extreme Alpinism” that suffering may be a by-product in many aspects of climbing and indeed recreation in general but in alpinism it is the goal in itself. for a moment I thought he was going to find a nice cave to live in forever. You can see the Cirque in the distance, about to get pummeled by rain...he he...Clear Lake is directly to the left, and Big Sandy Lake is beyond...

woohoo!! I got a shout out and you haven't even visited me yet!! You are very welcome for the gift. the lake is beautiful!!! Still don't know if I can actually go camping yet though as fun as Stephen makes it sound.
