To celebrate my 30th birthday, my sister convinced me to do "something big." Scoping out the Upper Exum Ridge. At this point we still dont know which route we will take up, but we were approved for the more advanced Exum route. Secretly, I was hoping for the easier Owen-Spaulding Route, but glad we left it up to Hound Dog.

You could look in any direction and be in awe. Magnificent.

Beautiful sunset on the Idaho side of the range. What else happens on the Idaho side? that is where the toilet is.

You can see the shadow of the Grand as the sun comes up over the Teton Range.

We did it! We reached the summit! With 60 degree temps and 5-10 mph winds, it was the best weather our guide had seen in over 20 years of making this trip.

The marker says 13,775; WikiPedia and everything else out there says the peak is 13,770. Im going to go ahead and take credit for climbing that extra 5 feet.

Quite the cliff face to come down. Look close, you will spot a Doctor.

Zoom in a bit and you can see Danielle walking her way down the mountain. Rappelling was personally my favorite part of the trek, as it somewhat felt like flying.

Not only did we make it up the mountain, we made it all the way down! Thankfully our support team had a cooler ready to greet us in the parking lot.
