Today we begin our adventure at Grand Teton National Park. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to see so many gorgeous views. We drove to the south east entrance of the park and you were only able to access a small part of the park. The Ranger suggested that we drive to the north east side of the park where we were able to access 26 miles of road within the park. We were able to drive to Jackson lake which was completely frozen and snow-covered. The pictures are of us actually standing on Jackson Lake with Grand Teton and other peaks in the background.
On our way back to Jackson we stopped at the national elk refuge where thousands of elk are spending their winter protected and being fed. It was a breathtaking day and we felt like we were the only people in the national park, driving around you saw only a few cars. When getting out and taking pictures it was completely silent (other than the birds chirping)and beautiful, an unforgettable experience.
