Our days remaining with the family were quickly coming to an end, so Les and I made the most of seeing as much of Washington DC as possible over Monday and Tuesday, knowing what we managed to see would barely scratch the surface of this magnificent city. Trent left us at the Reston Train Station early each day collecting us each evening, very weary but happy tourists, ready to put our feet up and catch up with the family news at dinner. The children always enthusiastically relayed stories of their days at school and at the same time wanting to know just what we had seen and which attractions we had visited.

Together with walking and walking until our legs couldn't carry us much further, we took the city tour bus, enabling us to get off and on to more closely visit some of the main attractions. So much to see, so little time in reality, but just a taste! We thoroughly enjoyed it all.
