It's early Sunday morning May 19th, our bags are packed and loaded in the car. The kids are up and enjoying breakfast. We finished creating a playroom for the kids, enjoyed wonderful food prepared by Yuna and Alf, including a great Korean meal one night and homemade sushi another night. We also had some playtime with the kids. We went to a great swimming pool one day, rode the Seattle Ferris wheel, and the carousel. Al and Alf went shrimping one day with Alf's friend Shawn. It is now time to hit the road and travel back East. If we 'click our heels two times' will be home?
We clicked our heels and it did not work, so back into the Prius and head East to Pendleton, Oregon via Walla Walla Washington. On the road to Walla Walla WA, we stopped in Frenchtown at a new small winery. The host had a French accent and we tasted wines from the Columbia Valley Vineyards. We then travelled into the city of Walla Walla. We had lunch at the Public House tavern, outside on the patio. We strolled through several antique/consignment stores (way overpriced), stopped at two more wineries for additional tastings. We

bought several bottles of wines, including one Chocolate wine. At the Fort Walla Walla winery the host was very knowledgable of the area and told us the city was founded by the traders working with the Hudson Bay Company and the city was formed in 1859.

Does anyone remember the comedy routine by the Three Stooges about Walla Walla-Al did. "Slowly we turned, step by step..."

We drove to Pendleton, OR to spend the night, it is about one hour south of Walla Walla. Continuing with our theme of seeking out local watering holes, we had dinner and brew at the 'Prodigal Son' Micro Brewery. After dinner we walked the streets of Pendleton and came across the 'Working Girls' Hotel, but it was slow last night.

We finished this part of the basement for a playroom and laundry area. It is not quite this yellow, but it is bright.
