Hungry in Seattle(Ha ha! Get it?..nevermind lol)Hungry in Seattle(Ha ha! Get it?..nevermind lol)Hungry in Seattle(Ha ha! Get it?..nevermind lol)

Rene had been talking about this moment before we even started this tour :)
"Go away rain! Come again another day, like tommorrow, after we're done with our tour!" I guess it was to be expected, we were very close to Seattle after all.

After a late night at the gambling hall, The Tulalip Casino, waking up this morning was difficult. When we did, we headed straight for the motel's conference room. Our continental breakfast was waiting for us, good thing 'cuz we were hungry, as usual.

We headed south afterwards hoping that we could find it in ourselves to pedal all the way to Portland. Ha! As if! 😊 Sleeping in, dinkin' around, and excessive breaks(after all, we are on vacation) prevented us from accomplishing such feat(250 miles in one day). Rene and I have done 200 miles in one day, but we raced the clock, without gear. With our heavy bikes, we simply are not able to ride fast enough and on top of this, another flat!
If this kept up, I would have had to ditch some gear because my rear tire simply cannot handle this much weight.

Rene had ONE thing in mind, The Old Spaghetti Factory in Seattle. When we arrived there, they were closed! Imagine

It felt great to take off my cycling shoes, what felt even better was walking in my sandals.
that, riding countless miles of long rollers(hills), "bonking"(term used when cyclists hit a wall, run out of energy), and almost tasting the food then bamm! CLOSED! Closed for another half hour, but you know what I mean?
We decided to not wait 'til OSF opened so we walked to The Green Tortoise(hostel), checked in, showered and walked to pasta heaven. Carbs! Give us some carbs! 😊 And Spumoni! Mmmm! That dinner was excellent! We felt like we could do another 200 miles but we didn't 'cuz Seattle is cool, We'll hang out one more night.(But Portland is way cooler, that's why we live there! 😉

We went back to the Green Tortoise, hung out, mingled, watched Forrest Gump, and here I am, looking forward to getting back home, ok, not really 😊...stay tuned for the conclusion...

Ok, we tried to take this pic so that my pointing finger was right under the Space Needle but apparently, it didn't work. Instead, I'll just say, "Hey check it out! They have a WAMU office here!" Hee hee...:)
