enjoying the ride
This morning we started our trek by sitting in the car, wohoo! Little did I know there would be walking to be done upon arrival. We headed off to Snoqualmie Falls, which on the way we passed a no hitch hiking sign, almost had a huge deer run out into the road and saw a cool old train. Upon arrival we hit the upper observation deck and snapped some pictures. Then we headed down the 1/2 mile hike on muddy and slightly steep terrain to the lower observation deck. The view from the bottom was amazing and we encountered all kind of interesting vegetation along the way and even some work stuff via a hydro power plant. After climbing back to the top we snapped a couple more pictures form a different angle, grabbed a warm caramel apple cider, which is VERY yummy and hit the road.

Next stop was a walking tour, surprise surprise. We started off at Gasworks Park and followed along the map in the book. We encountered some geese, who weren't afraid of us, some dinosaurs, Space, Lenin, the Rocket Ship, the Center of the Universe, the History House, Waiting for the Interurban Statue and the

no hitchhiking, that includes the deer that tried to hop in the car
Fremont Troll before eventually ending up back at Gasworks Park.

After our long walk we drove home and parked the car and started walking some more as we headed over to the Space Needle. Along the way we snapped a picture of the building from Grey's Anatomy. Once we reached the observation deck which is at 520 feet up we started taking pictures while the sun was trying to peer through the clouds. Once we headed back down and hit the gift shop we went across the way to Zeek's pizza to grab a bite to eat. After we filled our bellies we went down by the waterfront to check out Olympic Sculpture Park. Continuing along the waterfront we hit the Christopher Columbus statue, and the pier. After that we did some shopping for the soccer game we were headed to later. She got a sweatshirt, I got a hat and jersey and we both got foam fingers... Go Sounders! On the way to pick up the doggy from day care we saw the Hammer Man statue after climbing a ton of steps. When we picked up the doggy from Downtown Dog Lounge I grabbed one of their original t-shirts that says "I (Heart) Bitches" and has a small store logo on the back.

Finally we reached the apartment and took a little time to relax before changing and out the door to walk to the game. We got there and watched the Seattle Sounders FC take on the Kansas City Wizards. The game was extremely close and 0-0 at the half when we got to see some human hamsters try their luck in a ball. The Sounders ended up losing 1-0, but they did do exceptionally well being one man down and their backup goalie in the game (the starting goalie was red carded and ejected). When the game was over we hauled ass to the movie to catch the new Fast and Furious flick before finally going home and passing out.
