We visited Gig Harbor and thoroughly enjoyed the eclectic shops and and relaxed atmosphere. We were blessed to be enjoying this outing with dear friends that we do not see often enough.

The memorial statue captured my attention and a local resident came over to tell of it's historical significance in memorializing those who developed the harbor area.

Lunch on this sunny day was on an outside deck at the Tides Tavern. We both give this restaurant rave reviews for food and service.

Later in the day, we headed to Seattle for our flight back home. The Alaska adventure comes to an end.

The Planes, Trains and Automobiles status: Plane trips = 5; train trips = 3, ships/boats = 4, bus/shuttle trips = 13, taxi/car= 7, golf cart = 3 for a sum of 35 modes and methods of transport over 12 days!
