I can't believe the month of June is already over! It's been quite a whirlwind. My last day of work was June 9th and we left on June 10th for a ten day vacation in California with my family. My brother, Neal, graduated with his PhD in Philosophy from University of California Riverside, so it was a nice excuse for the whole fam to spend some quality time together. Martin and I flew to Long Beach that Wednesday, followed by my parents (returning from a month long trip to Europe) and then Debi & the kids Thursday night and finally Ben on Saturday. We stayed in Palm Springs at my parents Worldmark timeshare for a week, just generally enjoying family time at the pool and around the kitchen table. It'd been a long time since the 10 of us were all together, and who knows when the next time will be with both our upcoming adventure and Neal/Anna moving to Virginia in just a week. We also took a day trip to Disneyland as a family- I hadn't been since age 15, Martin since age 8.

We returned on June 20th, I came down with a bad virus and was out for the count for a few days as Martin finished packing up our apartment and moving things to his parents house. We're now more or less living in one of their spare bedrooms with our boxes in their basement. I just went to Vegas for the weekend with my friends Nicole, Jen and Sofia-- Jen and I have been friends since 6th grade and met Nicole & Sofia freshman year at WWU. We realized on our way to the airport that none of us had ever flown together, or taken a real vacation! We once again stayed at a Worldmark resort (full kitchens, what what!) and very much enjoyed the pool & lazy river...floating all day is my kind of life. 😊

We head down to Portland this Friday to spend some time again with my family and visit our friends in Corvallis for a couple days...not to mention to go boating with the fam for 4th of July!
