Washington DC (6)
Flower in The Ellips park Now that the season is changing the weather was perfect for a day out to down town Washington. Form the hotel Tracy and I took a bus to the nearest Subway station and from there straight to down town.
As you exit the Subway station we were at the back of the White House (with all the security). We walked down The Ellipse (the park below the White House) and went to the Washington Monument. Form the hill we saw the Lincoln Memorial and the U.S Capital Building. It feels like you are in a movie when you stand there. On the way back we got to see the famous view of the White House. There were snipers on the roof (over reacting if you ask me) scanning for danger.
Washington was much more relaxed than New York with its high rising buildings. A lot of people is playing sports in the park or taking a run during lunch.
