Today, we drove some more! We listened to a lot of music, read, and looked out at the mountains and scenery. While driving in West Virginia, we hit torrential rain. Thank goodness there was a rest stop near by! We sometimes could barely see the road. In West Virginia, there are all of these towns with names that have to do with water.

When we got to our hotel, we got to "know" the staff. At dinner we waited an hour for our pizza. There was a problem where they didn't know that we were getting a special pizza so we got a regular-sized pizza. Then, when our special pizza came out of the oven, one of the cooks dropped the pizza so they had to cook another special pizza.
Another incident that happened was that we switched hotel rooms twice! The first room was right next to the ice maker, so it was noisy. The second one had no internet reception. The third one, the one we are in now, is PERFECT! Our hotel room is really nice.

I want your carrot
Hello from sunny and hot California. It sounds like things are really going well for the great adventurers. Is it tough roughing it? Did you get to visit any sites on the way? How is my big sister holding up? I am so surprised that you are not driving straight to California to donate to the "Help the poor General Contractors" charity. I love you guys. Mark

Hello out there!
Hi Ellie and Mary: I loved seeing some of the Virginia countryside in your pictures. I've never been there. Those hotel beds look perfect for jumping on. Keep the postings coming, please. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your trip. Happy travels, Jan

Thanks for that suggestion, Aunt Cath!! We missed the show last night. Is it a series? Did you see it and like it? Right now mom is trying to find out if the show is on tonight. How are Jane and Molly doing? I haven't seen them for a few years, now.
