Indians say coyotes turned bad people to stone
Heading out of southern California we spent two weeks in Thousand Trails Verde Valley, AZ. Beautiful. Tom got an okay from his cardiologist for another 6 months. Met up with Bruce and Cheryl and new friends Sandra and Ed. Sandra is mentoring me in my dream to be a writer of childrens books. She is published! Keeps the dream alive. We had great pickleball for 3 hours every morning. Also was aided by new friend, Kitsy, a young widow traveling alone. She gave me her Vet's name, and called them for me when Princess went lame. It turned out to be a Teddy Bear Catus to the foot. Princess is fine now.

From there, we spent 4 days at the Grand Canyon. Awesome! Neither Tom nor I had ever been there. We ae still learning how to drive our new Holiday Rambler. We had a light go on the dashboard and called a Monaco dealer. Unfortunately our owners manual did not reflect what we were seeing on the dash. So we stopped at the dealer on the way into Las Vegas. We found out the light was telling us the "catalytic converter" was burning and not to park in grass....or something like that. So we spent a few days at Thousand Trails Las Vegas. Long-time friends Sue and Dave from Wadsworth, OH flew in to spend a week with us.

The four of us drove up to St. George, ROD park, to spend a week seeing Zion and Bryce National parks. Just more of beautiful America. They took a side trip to Arches Nat'l park while we caught our breath from hiking, happy hour, hiking, happy hour. You get the picture. It is so much fun to show regular folks our crazy RV lifestyle. We visited Brigham Young's winter place and also the Mormon Visitors Center there. I am still confused that the crosses on top of their churches are actually weather vanes if you look closely. I'll stay with my religion. We sadly said goodbye to Sue and Dave when they headed back to Ohio. We will start our journey Northwest to parts we've not seen yet....Oregon, Washington and maybe the Canadian Rockies!

Thank you. We like your blog & the news of what you are doing. Enjoy the great NW-we love it up there in the summers, especially the coast. Our National Parks are fantastic- love your pix. We just got to Champion, OH yesterday. A place called Roaring Run Resort-ROD. Pretty place. We will go into Hershey TT WE IF the park is open after the damage from the tornado that went through last week is taken care of. If not, on to VT a bit earlier. We have luckily missed all the really bad weather on our travel east. Big Hugs, Bruce & Cheryl

Hello again
I've been reading your blogs ever since we met in NJ. We had the three Yorkshier Terriers. Anyway, I went back on active duty for the Air National Guard, and currently am stationed in Wash DC. I was promoted to Major in February. If I can hang on for 7 more years, I will get full retirement. Anyway, keep in touch, and let me know the places that I don't want to visit, or waste my time at. If you ever get out this way again, let us know. Paul and Janet
