Today we left El Paso and spent about 8 hours driving to Fredricksburg, Texas. Fredricksburg is a very old German community that was formed in the early 1800’s. In the beginning, highway 10 was closed for construction so we spent an extra hour driving along the city streets till we passed the construction zone. We drove so much today that we had to fill the tank twice.

We came to Fredricksburg to spend 4 days with Marty, an old friend of Em’s.

We spent the morning walking around downtown Fredricksburg. In the afternoon, Em and Marty went to the Lady Bird Johnson Park and I went to the Admiral Nimitz National Museum of the Pacific War. Both were very cool places to visit.

Tomorrow a drive to San Antonio.
