We decided to take a day off and we rented a car and went to the Big Thicket National Park, which was 10 miles north of us. Sam has a passport for national parks which he gets stamps from each place he visits. He has gotten 4 for this trip so far. This is cool! The national forestry service has just issued a 25th year commerative stamp. Sam was the first to use the one at this location. After this we rode south to Beaumont because there are two bike shops there. Sam's grandparents were from Beaumont and we visited the cemetery and found their head stones and he received a copy of their obituaries. We then rode past their old homestead.
