Howdy Y'All, but since we are talking to several of you, Howdy All Y'All

You have to set for a spell because we're fixin' to tell a story

We headed up the road a fur piece to Caroline's Turtle Cafe

Where we settled in for a mess of hotcakes

Goshdawg they were as good as yesterday's

Waitress asks us "Where bouts y'all from?

Howdja git here?

Are y'all gonna be here a spell?"

When we told her Victoria, she didn't exactly know where that was, darlin'.

She spoke ten words a second, gusting to fifty talkin' bout smokin' through all four of her pregnancies

Met Caroline the cook, she was sure cookin' on a front burner today

But she's been rode hard and put away wet

Each day, we see thunderclouds threatening to bring a real gully-washer toad strangler, but they always pass on through

It's so hot the hens are laying hard-boiled eggs

Ian hightailed it to the store a hoot and a holler

Just afore sunset to get fixins for dinner and somethin to drank
But since we're gonna be here a while, we been takin' sittin' around the see-ment pond for the day

Lots of skeeters and chiggers in the pond today

Partakin in sippin soda

Helli is slowly on her way to walkin' in tall cotton

Gearin' up for Galveston
