Dublin, Texas is not a town you would specifically travel to unless you would like to visit the oldest Dr. Pepper plant in the United States. The plant is open daily for tours and the purchase of a Dr. Pepper at an old time soda fountain. You can take home cans of Dr. Pepper that are unlike Dr. Pepper produced elsewhere, since these are made with pure cane sugar, an ingredient that was dropped and changed elsewhere many years ago. Outside the Dr. Pepper plant there is not much else to see of do in the Erath County town of 3747 people. One noted person from this town was Ben Hogan the famous pro golfer.
