blog 02-25-19 Texas Traffic!! It was a beautiful morning, on the cool side about 65, but wonderful. Watson and I took a walk along the lake and passed a swan having breakfast on some grass. Watson wanted to visit but I didn't agree so we headed back to the camper and prepared to depart. I was in Livingston, LA and had a 5 1/2 hr drive to Columbus, TX. I left at 9 am and headed west on Interstate 10 thinking I would miss the morning commute in Beaumont, wrong. Traffic was backed up for about 3 miles and it only took 1/2 an hour to negotiate those 3 miles. 10 opened up and it was smooth sailing at 70 mph. Some observations I failed to mention on the previous episodes. Coming out of LA on I-10, as we crossed the mountains, we saw more wind generating “mills” than we had ever seen before in one place, and 90% of them were moving. They were both in the valley and on the ridge line. Arizona also has many solar reflector generators stretching for miles on both sides of the road. California also seems to have more women with cold ankles than elsewhere as they're all wearing boots! Thursday we ended up going beyond San Antonio, as we still had several hours of daylight left when we plowed our way though the San Antonio traffic.
