We stopped on the way to Big Bend at the confluence of the Pecos River and the Rio Grande. Beautiful!
Next stop was the tiny town of Langtry, where Judge Roy Bean held court in his saloon, The Jersey Lilly. He was the law west of the Pecos. The saloon is quite tiny.
At Big Bend NP we managed to get a spot at the Rio Grande Village RV park, which is basically a parking lot with hookups. Once we parked the camper and hooked up the electricity, we headed out to see the sights and take some pictures. We went to Daniel's Ranch picnic area then to the group campground and finally to the Rio Grande Nature Trail. This park has such a variety of climates, from desert to mountains to river and swamps, all beautiful in their own way.
