Pops/Amarillo

Our first stop was also our first stop on the trip on historic rt66. Pops a famous truck stop. Food fuel and fizz. Famous for their large variety of sodas. The food was very good burgers and fries kind of place. We all had somewhat normal sodas with our food. Mike and I both bought custom 6 packs though with things like bacon, grass, and beef jerky soda. Overall a very cool minor detour.

Next it was off to Amarillo where we stopped at two locations. First we had to get our Texas steak at no other than the Big Texan. Great place but either mike or I had it in us to try the 72 oz steak challenge (probably for the best). The steaks were decent but the place was really cool. After sleeping first light we hit Cadillac Ranch. No idea why it is there and we forgot spray paint but still a very cool traditional rt66 road stop. We are now starting out longest drive to Phoenix.
