Nearing home
We got home safely though weary. Our yard is full of vehicles; Michael's truck, work van, canoe, Crystal's car, our pickup with David's boat and trailer attached, and now our van and camper. It looks like the old days, when all the kids lived at home.

We got sweet hugs and kisses from Jenna, but Sean was grumpy. We finally got hugs and kisses from him. Crystal was happy to see us, I think, even though she cried. Misty went and picked up her boys from their cousins' knowing we'd want to see them. We were glad to see all of them. It's fun to travel, but so hard to be away from loved ones for so long. Michael came in with pizzas and David stopped on his way to work. Sara and Trevor were the only ones missing.

Here are our stats for the trip:

13,304 total miles we travelled in our van (this included side trips without the camper.)
56 days on the road
55 nights in campgrounds
$26.36 average cost of campground per night
641.331 gallons of gasoline purchased
$3.338 average cost per gallon
3,135 pictures and videos taken (We won't make anyone sit through

between Metropolis, IL and Paducah, KY
them all.)

It is wonderful to be home.
