Armadillo
We saw this guy at St. Joseph Peninsula crossing the road Yesterday we drove through Alabama, noticing more and more standing water as we got farther north. At Florence the Tennessee River was really moving fast. The golf course had lots of water hazards and no sand traps, indicative of the heavy rains they've been getting. We crossed into The Great State a little after 3:00, but saw no snow until we were north of Adamsville. At first there was only snow in the shaded/sheltered areas, then on rooftops, and finally whole fields and yards were white. The heavy stuff was patchy, though, some areas obviously getting more snow than others. Once home we were disappointed to find very little snow in our yard, but were happy the driveway was clear. Misty said she took a picture of our house in the snow before any footprints or sled marks marked it. I'll try to get that picture and post it to my facebook page.
Now that we're home, it is time to empty and clean the camper. We'll have to set it up and run the furnace some to dry it out after all the humidity in Florida. I've got tons of laundry to do, too, as well as catch up
Plover
He would run and poke his beak in the sand after a wave washed back out on all the mail acquired over the last month. It's also bill-paying time, so the next few days will be busy.
I'm posting some pictures of some of the wildlife we saw on our trip. We enjoyed sharing our trip with you and thanks for your comments. We'll start planning in earnest now for our trip to Alaska in May.
