This morning Tanya left so we decided to go over towards the North Carolina Side of the Mountain and hike Alum Cave trail which is a 1/3 moderate rating and 2/3 strenuous rating and 2.3 miles each way. It proved to be challenging but fun. It was an awesome hike through some rugged terrain and when we arrived there we enjoyed the wonderful views from up there and a little snack before heading back. On Monday the weather was a little sketchy and camp needed tidying up a bit. There was a clearing in the weather for a few hours so we took the opportunity to run the Tail of the Dragon Motorcycle Ride which consists of 318 curves in 11 miles, that was awesome, so awesome we did it twice. We then saw the storm coming so we hauled back to camp, got the bike under the front of the trailer and it poured. Good night to eat and watch a movie as it will be stormy. Well as if we did not get enough hiking in, Tuesday we headed into Cades Cove area again and we hiked the Lumber Ridge Trail which is a1.1 mile trail and lead us to a beautiful waterfall 28 feet high. We still felt like hiking more so we headed up the mountain a few miles and hiked the School Bus Gap Trail 2.2 miles into the mountain. School Bus Gap Trail really wasn't that exciting but was a wonderful walk up the mountain through a wooded area and took us to a old school house turned cabin with a interesting view. We enjoyed both hikes and was our longest total hiking in one day totaling 6.6 miles round trip. We then settled in with a excellent dinner. Kathy surprised me and brought some of her homemade spaghetti sauce one of our favorites, Wednesday we took the Razor up the mountain and explored down some gravel roads. and enjoyed the day riding through the mountains. During the trip we stopped at one of the local caverns and enjoyed the tour down below the earth up to 400 feet down below the surface of eth mountains. Down there was an incredible stream and some really nice temperatures. Year round it is 58 degrees. When we finally departed Townsend and giving all our new friends the goodbyes after being here two weeks we traveled down the

road to Clarksville, TN. We stayed there along the way to break up the trip. We had intentions on going to Nashville for the evening dinner and a little fun and boy am I glad we did. Turns out it was the CMA music festival downtown Nashville, WOW did we have a great time there. We even treated ourselves to Jose's Crabshack and enjoyed some snow crab along with s2 LBS of Alaskan King Carb Legs, Yummm. We now are in the Lake of The Ozarks where the weather is rainy and the days are somewhat cloudy. Here in the campground we have no cell coverage or WiFi.
