The high Point
We leave Ashville and head West on the Blue Ridge Parkway. After driving for hours on a peaceful two lane road it abruptly end at a six lane highway and DOLLYWOOD. The exit from Smokey Mountain National Park was a shock. Pigeon Forge and route 441 is miles of hamburger joints, motels, Biblical recreation shows and every kind of trash tourist event you can imagine. After a full days drive we arrived in Nashville. We ate at Jack's Famous BBQ and strolled Broadway. Lots of clubs and music to choose from even on a Sunday night. Weather was HOT the beer was COLD. Our hotel being at the top of the hill we took the motorized rickshaw back. Breakfast was at the Loveless Cafe a Nashville original well worth getting off the highway for.
