The hotel is about 11 miles from downtown Nashville so we waited until 9 AM before getting on the freeway system. Glad GPS units were invented. Makes navigating much easier. Did a walking tour of the various areas of downtown Nashville including the Printers District which is actually the entertainment area. A newer much larger Music Center is under construction and due to open in 2013. We then headed out to The Hermitage which is the home of the late President Andrew Jackson. It dates back to slavery days. Did a wagon tour of the property as well as the home tour and walking tour. Unfortunately interior photos are not permitted. The weather was quite warm today and we were glad to get back into an air-conditioned car. Tomorrow we will head south because there is a major storm headed for Nashville tomorrow around noon - to mid-afternoon. We will likely hit some rain but the worst is around the Nashville area.
