Hi Folks. Good progress is being made in our passage north. We weren't sure how to go over or under Long Island, New York without strong currents and major traffic, so we made a nice hop from Barnegat Sound, NJ straight to Block Island, Rhode Island. MELODEON

With a crew of 3, Frank, Chris and Ginger Bear, MELODEON left Fraser Park Marina in Trenton, Ontario, Canada in 2009. Like many aquatic snowbirds heading south, MELODEON voyaged through the Erie Canal, the Hudson River, the Atlantic ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway until reaching sunnier shores in Florida and the Bahamas . 2011-12 is MELODEON's third cruising season, with the last two trips spent lingering in the sparkling waters and peaceful havens of Grand Bahama Island.... full info

It all sounds great. I have been with you in spirit along the way and enjoy all the updates. August is going to finish nicely here and i suspect we will hae a good Fall. Everything is early in the harvest area. Good Sailing, Cheers, Mike
