Yes, I have been to the places that invented these ten classic and iconic foods. Of the most famous ten, here are the three I have visited: OK, this one is open to heated debate. But many sources say that brothers Pat and Harry Olivieri invented this locally beloved cheese-laden meat bomb when they were running a hot dog stand near South Philadelphia’s Italian Market in the 1930s. The sandwich started out with second billing to the franks, but cheesesteak sales soon took off, leading to the opening of Pat’s King of Steaks.Served on a long crusty roll, the best-known version of th... read more

Today we went in the morning the last time to Philly and we used the opportunity to see some things and do some stuff some people we met on way told us to do. We have seen many beautiful paintings on the houses, what Philadelphia is famous for and went to south philly to eat the cheesesteak everybody says we must try. We did a little shopping in the afternoon and prepared dinner for our friends. It was a quite cold day so we are, no matter how nice it is here with our hosts, happy to move on south... trying to escape the winter for a bit longer. ... read more

Well A full day at Niagra started early. It is a little tacky but the view is magnificant. We think we saw an otter tucking into a fish breafast above the falls. At 11 we went to queue for the maid of the mist. Minutes later we were a few feet away from the falls and being gently soaked. The water was strangely warm but we were very close. the sound was amazing and we could see the sun glistening off the top of the falls. In the evening off to see a floor show 'O Canada eh' We laughed ourselves silly and had a great meal there too. Another early start. Rain overnight and a much cooler start to the day. Waiting for the coach we sat outside the hotel and watched the falls. Definenately ... read more

---THE UNPUBLISHED NOW PUBLISHED SERIES: BLOG ARCHIVES JUNE 2008 --- Since my return to Philly, it seems as if I’ve spent mostly all of my time either talking about my past experiences, or planning for the future. I’ve barely spent one moment in the moment, and it’s begun to make me quite sad. What a contrast to travel life, where it’s all about staying in the moment. Traveling alone and living out of a backpack certainly does make life easier in some respects. Not that it doesn’t come with a hefty set of personal responsibilities, but home has brought upon a tricky juggling act of trying to keep balanced… of situating myself, planning, researching cars, laptops, apartments, future plane flights, and organizing paperwork, taxes, phone bills, rent, groceries, medical insurance, car insurance, freelance jobs, socializing and ... read more

I guess this is where i begin.. another trip to europe is sitting on my plate. My first bite at europe was back in October 2005. little did i know how addictive traveling would become. 7 weeks of not knowing what to expect next, and being taken away from the norm that i was used to for so long. The lessons ive learned, the people i met along the way, whom i still keep in touch with, and the experiences that i came across, lured me into a habit, that still, after these years, I have not begun to break, and i hope i never do. So first things first... This is my second trip to Europe. My first trip was a study abroad trip in which i travled with 29 other students ( 3 consisted ... read more

After my stay in New York, the main part of my travels. I went to stay with Kelsey, a counselor from last year.
