Candy has done a wonderful job keeping you all updated so far, thanks to her as I would never be able to do it as well as she has. She has covered most of what we have done in detail so I will not back track over it again. I just wanted to say Hello to you all. I’m sorry about saying it that way, out here it is “ Hello to You’s guys”. So here are my thoughts after 13 days on the road. Every morning as I put the RV in gear to take off, I hear it in my mind-- that famous song that plays over and over …. “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC (because most roads out here suck and I’m not a morning person and don’t like to be bumped and banged around so early). Yes, I guess some of you are right, I could have played the obvious road song choice by Willie Nelson “On the Road Again”, but then again I always like to be a little different. Well, I have to admit that when we first bought the RV and decided to undertake this adventure, I was a little worried about my
abilities to handle this big mug properly as well as the safe return protection of my wife, daughter and her friend. That’s a great responsibility on me but so far--- it’s been OK. Hell Donna, tell Patrick since I’m unemployed now, I might as well start driving the 18 wheelers with him if uncle Bobby would let me. I could use the income when I get home. But that will be after I help my son Jason get his new/old house remolded in Grant Park.
Thanks to my parents when I was young I have been able to see most of the USA already. Of course this doesn’t count for the recent late night sighting of Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yedi or whatever the hell it was that Candy and I had and that she refuses to tell anyone about. Outside of that excitement, one of the most thrilling parts of the trip is seeing Candy and the girl’s smile when they see something for the first time as well as us going to the Lava Tubes and going over Big Horn Mtns in the snow and ice. Of course a bear would be awesome but no such luck. Ever since
Candy and I got married I’ve told her “I Would Show Her the World”. This is a great start but someone will have to convince her to fly again to see the rest, after all this RV is not an amphibian.
I have to take the time and expose my softer side and let you all know, I’m missing you now. I hope you are all doing well back home. I have to say, 13 days cooped up in a 8 x 36’ area with three, I said three women can be tiring sometimes and you miss the other ones you love. But it will be only 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 more weeks, I’m a trooper and I can make it. But seriously it has not been bad at all and we have had a very good time in this box. But, I found out that I do suck at Taboo and 15 year olds don’t! I don't like their music and I'm too old and not that smart afterall. I'm good only for the driving and paying for stuff. I feel like my Dad did 30+ years ago.
We finally seen a sign today
that told the truth. Coming over to the coast on Hwy 34 we seen a sign that said "Elk Xing". Guess what? 2 miles later their she was, a beautiful elk standing by the road. It was enjoyable to see. We are currently on the Oregon coast and it is awesome here. I love it here and think Route 101 is perhaps the best area in America - except for the fish smell. This is wild and you should all try to come and see it if you can. By the way, did i mention three women in here! Also, there is no GA sweet tea out here. It is unsweetened Raspberry Tea. Another note, I ordered Ant’s and my favorite drink the other night while out to eat- Crown and Ginger Ale. The waiter came back and said we don’t have Ginger Ale do you want it by itself? I said just give me Crown and Sprite then. He said very well and then left. Ten minutes later he shows up with a half glass of Sprite and a full bottle of Corona beer. I swear! Can you believe our Southern draw is so hard to understand? Oh well,
it takes all kinds. But seriously, everyone has been very nice to us and “glad to have us southerners visiting” up here.
P.S. They all hate Michael Vick for the dog stuff as well.
FYI. I just got my Walmart Frequent Parker Card good anywhere in the US. And still, three women in here.
P.S.2 Can't wait for Vegas. I need to throw the bones awhile. You guys come meet us there and I'll buy all the drinks!
Well that’s all for me. Time for a night cap before bed. Good night and hope to see you soon.

I knew you could do it
Sounds like you are doing great. You've logged in a lot of miles in a short period of time. I would not(even for a second) be doing the driving you're doing but I'm glad you have this under control. It really is the best way to see the US. I was wondering if anyone had said anything about the southern drawl we all are famous for. I know people live and talk differently according to their region but basicly we all have the same feelings and desires and problems no matter where we are from. Be safe and have fun. Be careful and come home safe. We miss you too. How are the prices out there? How is the food?
