Oregon 2018. Lincoln City D9 All I can say is that Lincoln City is long and thin. It must be a 6 mile strip intersected by the racetrack called Highway 101. Being a rest day Andrew and myself got our bikes out and rode 23 miles, just to prevent our legs from seizing up. Firstly we headed south through town on minor, lumpy, roads to Taft and Cutler City, which are really part of LC. There we saw miles of black sandy beach littered with massive trees washed up by the tide and read about the local indigenous people who were almost wiped out by diseases spread by settlers in the 1840’s. Surprisingly this Yacona tribe used to flatten their heads in childhood with planks of wood to distinguish themselves from neighbouring tribes. Following this visit
