Head south to see the Rogue River Gorge. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable walk along the river.
Our next stop is The Natural Bridge trail. Another easy walk along the Rogue to see a bridge formed by a lava run later to become a natural lava rock tunnel that the water runs under for about 20 FT.
Headed back to Crater Lake to complete the rim drive around the West Rim. If ever here be sure to watch the 22 minute movie at Steel Visitor Center. We searched for wildflowers on the Castle Crest Trail but as seen on photos we missed the blooming season. We stopped at a couple of overlooks on our way back to camp.
After dinner we drove back to Crater Lake for star gazing. By 10:00 PM nothing breathtaking had happened so we went back home. Ever heard the saying that goes something like "sometimes you can't beat being home"? We saw more stars from our campsite than we did at the lake.
