We made it out of Big Bear by 9:30 on Wednesday morning. If you know Ed, you know what a feat that was! We went as far as Stockton the first day. A little over 400 miles. Scratch is very happy. It only took him about 30 minutes to figure out how to get from the truck into the camper and he has been there ever since. He did come out for a little while last night on the retractable leash. That went okay, until Ed hit the wrong button and tried to reel him in like a fish! We set out this morning at 9:30 and we were in Ashland by 3:30. Tonight we are camped under the trees right next to a creek. It is so quiet you can hear the water running. We met Patrick and his roommate for dinner. We tried to get him to come to Portland with us for the weekend, but he has too much homework. He looks great, and it was so good to see him!
Tomorrow we are on to Portland.... So far the trip is just fabulous! Oh by the way, did I say we are having fun!
