Today, our little area of the Triad, NC is experiencing some inland rain and high winds as a result of Hurricane Florence, which is currently making landfall on our coast. We are thinking about our family members there, whom we just visited for a quick family beach getaway two weeks ago as a farewell to a great summer. Before news of the hurricane hit, we were enjoying our time at Hammocks Beach State Park, downtown Swansboro and Fort Macon, NC with my great-aunt, great-uncle and second cousins. We took our time getting down there, leaving early on Friday morning.
