Off to a rough start, apparently US Airways pilots are afraid to fly in the rain! I'm missing my group flight out of the US so looks like I'm flying solo all the way to Bhutan... As long as I (and my pack) get there!

I am spending 6 weeks in Bhutan with the School for Field Studies taking a course in Eastern Himalayan Forests and Rural Livelihoods. I will be living and working at the Lamey Goempa, now an international research and training center called the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment. After my studies in Bhutan I will then head to Kathmandu, Nepal and later embark on an adventure through Tibet!... full info
