Keep all animals smaller than a tractor inside when these guys are around.
We've finally made the big move down here to Asheville from Doylestown.

We've been climbing, running, and just general frolicking. The website is also finished so check out more about my running around the world here. Oh, we've also been looking for jobs that don't suck the life from our souls. We moved here immediately following my race in Egypt - 150 mile/7 day run across the Sahara.

The race contained epic bits but nothing too impossible. The daily temps were recorded at 140 degrees. During our first night out, some tentmates were joined by an interesting visitor, something called a camel spider.

One person said it was called that because it kills camels. Yikes.

Egyptians have, as a culture, been hosting tourists for thousands of years. It's almost a genetic trait to be accommodating and curtious. One of our Egyptian support crew members shared in a great conversation about Islam and disspelled several misperceptions.
