Most any trip to New York City must involve the famous Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Having been to Yankee Stadium a few years ago, I am taking my friends from Atlanta to the game on Sunday. My last trip to NYC was probably not long after 9-11. Why is Yankee Stadium so famous? I would guess it is the legacy of the great Yankee players over the years: Ruth Gehrig, Dimaggio, Mantle, Berra, Jeter, Rivera, and now Aaron Judge from Fresno State. It may also be famous since it is, after all, the Big Apple. The original Yankee Stadium (built for $2.4 million) was the home of the Yankees from 1923 to 2008.
