New York Adventure - Day 5

Up early today, need to get some washing done otherwise we will have no socks or underwear!

Weather somewhat unpleasant, RAIN but no snow, however a considerable temperature improvement at 3 degrees.

Found a Laundromat not far from the hotel called Zanussi at 750 10th Avenue so not too far away, so ff we go. Everything left to be washed so now we are off by taxi again to Upper Midtown heading for the New York City Museum first today to check out the history of the city.....it looks so interesting! Plus they put on a free breakfast from 10:00 to 11:00 so why not ?

Had a great time at the museum then headed out in the rain to the sub-way on the corner 103rd and Lexington. Subway very grubby and trains very narrow, alighted train at 42nd and Grand Central, this was quite spectacular.

Ou into the rain again and headed to Bryants Park for Ice Skating undercover. One problem! It wasn't under cover so was closed due to bad weather,......Emma very upset at not being able to skate, Sophie not fussed at all.

Next stop American Girl to look at the dolls but they are extremely expensive once you add tax so "no deal"

Next "Top of the Rock" on the way stopped off at famous book store Barnes and Noble made a couple of purchases. The off to Rockefeller Centre but again disappointed advised to leave until tomorrow and hopefully the weather much clearer. stopped for lunch and coffee
