Our most notable activity yesterday was to ride around the lake a couple of times on the bikes that are provided here at the house. We did find a large turtle that was trying to find its way back into the mud though.
We decided today then to drive through some more of the lovely countryside around here and look at all the lakes and fancy houses. We stopped at an authentic country diner and had a real hamburger for lunch.
We haven't seen a lot of wildlife apart from one Marmot standing on the side of the road but we have seen a lot of critters dead on the roads including a skunk in the middle of the road which prompted a chorus of the infamous song 'Dead skunk in the middle of the road' by Loudin Wainright III.
The other poor unfortunates included deer, squirrels, Opussums, and quite a few raccoons. We tried leaving stuff out here to attract live raccoons but to no avail.
We're still not up to hiking up mountains but anyway it is a nice place to sit around and watch 'Dirty Harry' movies.
