Inquiring minds want to know! Actually, in our last blog I told you I would let you know where we ended up parking our wheeled house for the summer. It was a tough decision….NOT! Lulu felt like a lost soul. She has to remember “Our Home is Where We Park It!” As I mentioned previously, we went back to Trout Run Camp Resort to confirm our site and reservation for 2 months. It’s located just about 8 miles down the road from our polebarn. Remember their sites were atrocious?! One site was located next to a buzz-saw man who is constantly making his wooden creations from tree trunks……Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…24/7. And if that wasn’t enough…..the site was right next to the dump station…..nice! It was also located under a huge, dead, pine tree with low hanging dead branches. ... read more

As you may know, we made it home to Shongo on May 20th. Our journey was smooth sailing the entire way….Hallelujah….Thank you, Jesus! Lulu rolled to the ground when we arrived. She kissed it like the Pope. We haven’t always been as thankful and grateful for our usual treks back home but this trip was Purr-fect. Perhaps the work we had done in Red Bay paid off. Our big, white polebarn was waiting for us. Cory pulled our RV around it and onto our gravel pad we had made for it. It took a bit of maneuvering and “discussion” because he said my guidance was poor….right! He only scraped the side of our sewer cap once! But now we are settled in with the slides out, levelers down, electric on, sewer hooked up. I’ll explain our ... read more

As Happy Wanderers, we continue our rotation visiting and staying with our generous and thoughtful children. Thank you, dear children. Fortunately, we didn’t stop at having one child (like me) because that one child would have been burnt out by now with our constant presence and would be signing us up for the local nursing home. With all of our doctor visits...maybe that is where we need to be. Nooooooo. Lulu said she’s not ready for the home, yet. She’s way too spry. On July 4th, we were at our son, Cory’s, house. The evening before, he and Penny had a wonderful campfire for us to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of his home. On the holiday, they had a 4th of July celebration. Many of our family were there as well as Penny’s family. We ... read more

Here, there and yonder. That’s been where our various destinations have taken us....and you, too....if you are still hitching a ride with us. Lulu resigned from keeping a roster. She said she was on a vacation and needed a break. If you say so, Miss Fusspuss. Currently, we have rotated our extended stays between Scio, NY and Campbell, NY. Our daughter, Lory and her family, live in Scio. Our son, Cory, has his home in Campbell. They have graciously allowed us to invade their home space and made us feel welcome. Thank you, dear children. We are counting down our doctor and dentist appointments. We are about half way through these health rendezvous. I have been to my dermatologist who zapped two small spots....my normal expectation. I have been to my dentist. The Hygenist cleaned my ... read more

Yesireebob! We are definitely a vagabond couple. No house, no job, NOTHING! But, actually we are blessed because we have our family. They have taken us in and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We have a roof over our heads and food to eat. What more could we ask? Confused? Not up to date? Okay...let’s back up a bit. Dig out those dusty time machines and settle yourselves back into them. Set the time to the end of May, at Tropical Palms, when we were getting ready to leave our winter home and head North. Boy, that seems so long ago! I even have to refresh my memory by retracing my steps through my photos. Thank, God, I take zillions. While prepping our RV for our departure, somehow I managed to cause our big, front ... read more

Hello, Hello, Hello Everyone! We have missed you! Lulu has been crying herself to sleep every night she has missed you so much. It’s so good to be back with all of you. Lulu’s eyes are glistening with joy right now. I can’t get that Cheshire grin off her face. I gave her a bath in our dishwasher this summer. She is so clean and perky now. Our summer has been filled with many, many things that I want to share with you. I can hear your familiar moans & wailing already. That’s okay. I realize I tend to get quite loquacious. I am who I am. Yep, it’s cozy chair & coffee time again. Put your phones on hold and let the reading begin. I really don’t know where to start. Hang with me as ... read more

We were afraid you might be getting a little lonely and bored. We sure don’t want that. Lulu suggested compiling another blog that has just a bunch of various people and places for your perusal. Oh, lucky you! It is the giving season! I belong to several groups on Facebooks. Two I follow on a regular basis and often share my own finds. One group is called “Old Farms and Barns”. It is a wonderful group if you enjoy beautiful and unique farm and farm related pictures. My “Santa & Tractor” photo is a recent submission of mine. The tractor wasn’t my photo..but I put Santa in his place ...Go,Tractor, Go! The other group is called “Weird Second Hand Finds that just need to be shared”. I’m addicted to this group. I spend hours just looking ... read more

Yes, dear loyal followers....this blog (#474 - are you kidding me? I have to admit I must be a quite a blabbermouth) actually brings us up to date with all our doings. Whew! (I’m wiping the beads of sweat off my forehead as well as Lulu’s - she’s been so stressed out). The blog site is still not working and we don’t know who is receiving our blogs or not. Those of you who use Goggle Chrome (like us) receive the blog with a warning that says it is unsafe. Our Verizon manager reassured us that it is nothing to fear or be concerned about. If you get that message and are nervous, let me know and I’ll send it a different way to you. When I went through my “follower” list, I did delete a ... read more

Still trying to catch up. You all need to get right back in your time machines. We aren’t up to date on our timelines yet. But we’ll get there eventually, I think. Even though our travel blog site continues to be a real mess and heartbreaker, we still have so much more to be thankful. Our family comes first, followed by all of you. We are so thankful for everything we can do together and make such wonderful memories. Obviously, our main reason for leaving the warmth of our sunny “R&R” to return to the snowy, white blanket covering our home was to be with our family. That’s what it’s all about for us. Cory and I are blessed with 4 children, nine grandchildren plus spouses and significant others. A grand group! Oh, and of course, ... read more

Well, my many, virtuous, devoted followers, it doesn’t look good. Lulu is having a tizzy. She is wearing a cervical collar as a straight jacket. Only piece of equipment that can contain her. Me....I have bloody stumps for fingers after continually typing. My brain is in a constant spinning mode. Sad, just plain sad. All of it! We really need your sympathy now.....more than ever. I have worked on my blog site problem for many weeks now....starting November 12th. Nooooooooo. I’m pooped! Everything I try doesn’t seem to have or be the right answer. Whhhhhyyyyyy. The travel blog support site has never answered me. They used to respond within 24 hours. Where art thou ol’ Travel Blog people? The problem (refresher) we are dealing with is: the TB site is not notifying the majority of you ... read more
