Uprooted and déroutée I pondered long and hard whether I should put an ‘s’ to ‘déroutée’, making it double. After all, we’re two, aren’t we? Two in the same boat⎯in the same plane, same life, same hell, same new beginning… Pick one or pick them all, like I do from time to time. I haven’t decided yet if this is the same nightmare going on and on or if it’s a glimpse of sunlight, a welcome change of scenery or a thoroughly stupid idea. Pick one or pick them all… One thing I know for sure is we’re leaving. One thing I decided is not to put an ‘s’. Whatever questions I might have, they’re not hers to bear.
