Sally, Lee-Ann, Blyth on the train to NY

Sally and I took our guest, Blyth, to New York city on Tuesday 2 July. We were joined by my sister Lori and Nephew Anthony and friends Lee-Ann and Tucker Johns. Drove to New Haven and from there rode the train to Grand Central Station in mid-town Manhattan. Hot and very humid but we had a great day. Started the day at the 9/11 memorial. From there we took the subway to Times Square where we had lunch at Carmines. If you ever find yourself in New York City, Carmine's in a must. Excellent food served homestyle. After lunch we took a short walk thru central park and then headed down to Chinatown where the women were hoping to find a bargain on purses. No luck....

Summer is almost here and it's time for Sally and I to head out on the road again. I wasn't certain if I would be blogging about our travels again this year but we have had a lot of friends tell us that they really enjoyed the blogs from last years trip and that we should do it again this year.
