We woke up this morning eager for another day of exploring. Today was going to be a BIG day and we had alot of ground to cover. We filled up in our free breakfast at the hotel, grabbed some of their cookies to go and headed for the subway station. We took it all the way to the end of Manhatten and walked over to catch the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

We bought our tickets in advance thanks to advice from tripadvisor and headed straight through security. Within 15 minutes we were on our way! We opted not to get off at the Statue of Liberty as were Canadians and it wasnt that big of a deal to us. But we did get some fun pictures from the ferry. We were more interested in going to Ellis Island where some of my family passed through many years ago. I had been before, but it was a first for my mother.

America. For the most part we walked through the halls and exhibits in silence, taking in the history that was around us. We also watched the 40 minute film which I highly suggest you check out to really grasp what this place was all about.

From there we headed back and out to dinner at Ruby Foos, a very tasty restaurant in Manhatten! Funny story - I went to use the washroom and when I came out there was a lady there handing me a towel to dry my hands. They also had a million kinds of lotion, peppermints and gum you could take. I learned after sitting back down at the table that the ladies taking care of all that stuff expect to be tipped if you use their services. Whoops, silly Canadian.

After dinner we were off to the main event. Something I had been looking forward to for months! We had tickets to see Wicked on Broadway!!! We got to the theater with only 5 minutes to spare; barely enough time for a pregnant lady to run to the washroom. The show was beyond spectaculor! I have seen many many broadway shows in my life,

but this one was definitely in my top 3! We all just loved it.

Tonight is our last night in the hotel before we head back to Elias home in the Bronx again. We have one more full day here before we leave. Short trip, but so much fun!
