We went to NYC on the way back from Miami cos we were going to see Coldplay and Richard Ashcroft on the Sunday night. The first two nights we stayed in a hostel on the upper west side in a tiny 10 person room, which was certainly an experience. Saturday night we went and had dinner with Tom (Austria) and Caitlin at Caitlin's place in Harlem. There was a really nice view over the west river of the George Washington Bridge. For the next 2 nights we stayed with Chip on the upper east side which was great, it was really cool to see him again.

Sunday night we got on the train(s) out to long island to the Nassau Memorial Coliseum to see the show. It was amazing, we had really good seats as well. The band were in a really good mood and were going nuts, after Richard Ashcroft had warmed up the crowd really well, with Drugs Don't Work, and Bittersweet Symphony obviously the highlights. Every song from Coldplay was awesome, from opening with Square One, to closing the encore with Fix You. For me, In My Place was probably the highlight, at the end of the main set. Chris climbed into the crowd to sing it. Two notable omissions were Amsterdam and Warning Sign. It was a fantastic night all round.

On monday night, we went down to the Brooklyn bridge to take some photos of lower manhattan at dusk. We liked them. let us know what you think.

Hey Mike
Nice photos my man. You do have a good eye for photography, without a doubt. Can't wait to here about your trip face 2 face when you get back. Have fun in London with Scotty 'pizza with the lotty'. - Jimmy
