Ellis Island & Statue of Libety

On Monday, our day off, we went exploring again. This time we headed up the New Jersey Turnpike to Liberty Park. We got on the Ferry and crossed over to Ellis Island and then took pictures of the Statue of Liberty as we passed by. It was amazing to listen to the tour guide as he described the events that took place in that building. it made me proud to be an American, realizing the millions of people that were helped through our open immigration policy.
